William Frederick Mackinson Brown - In 1885, Great great grandad came to Westray from South Ronaldsay to work as a baker in the shop at Gill Pier.
WFM Brown gets married, takes over the shop, moves into 3 Gill Pier and goes on to have thirteen children
WFM Brown had one of the first cars in Westray
Many years ago our biscuits were stored in a barrel or wooden box and weighed or counted into paper or greaseproof bags
The shop van - selling around the island
No longer just a shop van supplying the three shops on the island. Now we supply Orkney with bread and rolls - and our biscuits are sold UK wide
Duncan and Louise take over the present day bakehouse
As we wave good bye to the old bakehouse it's on to the new
Anna begins her training to take over the bakehouse
